A new Electrical Distribution Board has been installed to the Entrance Linen Press, so I would prefer not to have to move this. Within the en suite, the toilet is in a separate water closet with a door. I wouldnt want to be able to actually see into the bathroom from the bedroom. There is no direct line of sight into the bathroom from anywhere in the bedroom. I've also illustrated the structural timbers resting on these walls in green. We do not have a door to the en suite master bath. It's worth noting there are two load bearing points that I've marked. The designer has come up with this layout, but I would really love an enclosed toilet in the ensuite, and to make better use of the space. Decorating with mirrors is top of the list. (Image credit: CP Hart) There are lots of clever, space-boosting design tricks that work wonders on an ensuite and make a small bathroom look bigger. Note: I just retyped this whole description so to keep comments relevant I will stick with attachment names previously used.ĪTTACHMENT 9 - SAME AS ATTACHMENT 8 - POWDER ROOM CONCEPT 3 BUT WITH A SMALL ADDITION TO THE FRONT OF MASTER BEDROOM. Hi, we are extending on to our house to make a bigger master bedroom and extra powder room. Inject the feeling of space with reflective surfaces. Houzz Bath ON SALE - UP TO 75 OFF Pendant Lights Dining Room Furniture Wall. I've provided some of my own concepts below and am looking for feedback on whether I should stick with the architect design without a Powder Room, or whether there is better use of this space through one of my concepts below or some other concept that works better. Master Bathroom / Transom Over Shower / Floating Island Bartop with Brushed. Its an inner city apartment with very limited space. Design ideas for a large modern master bathroom in Melbourne with black cabinets, a freestanding tub, a double shower, a wall-mount toilet, gray tile, porcelain tile, grey walls, pebble tile floors, tile benchtops, grey floor, a sliding shower screen, white benchtops, a double vanity and a floating vanity. However, I am having second thoughts on the Master Suite design and whether we can also add a Powder Room off the main entrance, so that guests do not have to walk through the entire house and past the kids bedrooms to go to the bathroom. Were going to transform our attic space into a master bedroom with an en-suite. The illustration below shows where the sewer is currently and a potential addition to the master bedroom that I could relatively easily do. I've made the sewerage accessible outside of the ensuite and broken the concrete in the planned ensuite. ![]() I'm now working on the Master Bedroom, WIR and Ensuite, which is currently nothing but timber framing. We have completed the rear addition, entrance modifications and bedroom 3 modifications as part of an Owner Build Stage 1. Would love to get feedback on both the layout as well as glass walls vs normal walls. The owners wanted to personalize all aspects of the master suite: bedroom, closets and bathroom for an enhanced experience of modern luxury. We do normally go to bed at the same time so this doesn't have to be a major issue. Having it in glass will probably make the space feel more spacious (the view from the bathroom windows is very nice) but it could be annoying I suppose if one of us wakes up in the night to go to the toilet and then have light shining through the glass wall. We think this could work but we're not sure if we should make the shower wall and door glass or not (I tried to visualise the view from our bed into the bathroom with glass walls next to the plan mockup). I also attached a mock up of the new layout of the bathroom (2900 by 2300). The bed is under the original pitched roof (so limited head space where the different robes/linen are). The rear is an extension with a 2400 high ceiling. Attached our initial idea but unfortunately we will have to move the toilet into the bathroom and leave the front dormer open. It's an inner city apartment with very limited space. We're going to transform our attic space into a master bedroom with an en-suite.
